Interesting Things For Kids To Do
with Kids Garden Tools

There are so many interesting projects to do with kids garden tools.

After spending a lot of money getting that “right” tool for your child, the last thing you want is for the tool to be abandoned after 1 week or not even used at all.I hope that hasn't already happened.

Kids Garden tools are very good educational tools as well as play tools and will help your children develop good qualities as they grow.

But how do you ensure that they use these tools?

Children love adventure, activity, new things, new ideas.... With children the saying “monotony kills interest" takes on a whole new dimension. So what to do to keep them interested in gardening with these tools is simple.

Make Gardening Interesting. Avoid monotony

Create exciting garden adventures for them.

Here are a few Tips on working with Kids in the garden

Invite them to work with you when you are working in the garden and try and make it interesting.

Sharon Lovejoy, in her book titled Roots, Shoots, Buckets & Boots : Gardening Together with Children, presents 12 excting and easy-to-implement ideas for theme gardens that parents and kids can grow together. Ideas include a pizza garden, sunflower house, moon garden....

Initiate projects for them and also let them initiate their own projects. It would be nice if you gave then their own garden that way they would be proud of it and take care of it.

Teach them a few easy gardening techniques.

Every kid wants to be like an adult so get them some garden gear that look "real".

Teach then how to clean and care for their tools. Dirty tools look unattractive to kids.Make your kids garden tools look attractive always- clean, dry, store well.

Encourage them to join (or register them) cool clubs like Craftsman kids clubs

Finally, observe your kids closely. Watch out for the things they love to do (and those they don't like) or those things they always ask to help you with. These are pointers to the things they will love to do in the garden.

In summary, to ensure that they use those beautiful kids garden tools you bought for them, make gardening FUN and EXCITING.Make it full, make it exciting.
